Search Tabs is the main way to find guitar tabs and song versions before recording in Project Mixer.
This guide explains where to open search, how each entry point works, and how to find the best result faster.
Search Tabs is a discovery flow for finding playable tabs, versions, and catalog data.
It helps members use the same source quickly and reduces mismatch during collaboration.
- Use it before creating or recording a project.
- Search by artist name, song title, or mixed keywords.
- Open target tab directly from search results.
02. Where You Can Open Search
Search is available from multiple positions so members can start from the most convenient area.
All three paths below are valid and lead to tab discovery workflow.
- Left navigation: Open TABS LIBRARY, then use the main search input.
- Center of tabs-and-upload.html: Use the large search box in the middle section.
- Explore Catalog (lower section): Browse categories and jump into matching catalog results.
03. How To Search Effectively
Good keywords improve result quality and reduce duplicate browsing.
Start broad, then narrow by exact title, artist spelling, or version details.
- Try artist + title first (example: Artist Song Name).
- If results are too wide, add version words such as Live, Album, or arrangement notes.
- Use exact spelling for better matching when possible.
- Open likely candidates and compare before recording.
04. Result Selection Tips
Selecting the right tab version is as important as finding the song name.
A cleaner source reduces future editing and makes recording smoother for everyone.
- Prefer versions with clear naming, complete metadata, and better structure.
- Avoid low-quality duplicates when a cleaner version already exists.
- If no suitable result exists, upload a better GP version for members.
